It’s official, Illuminate 2022 is back bigger and better

Under the banner ‘Focus Forward – Bigger, Better, Stronger’, Illuminate 2022 is lining up as a hybrid event that is far greater than the sum of its parts. Undaunted by its legacy of creating game-changing Illuminate events, FCM Meetings & Events (FCM M&E) is set to deliver the hybrid event of the year.
From a blank canvas, to the visually stimulating event, which is set to be unveiled on 20 October, FCM M&E are pushing the boundaries. The hybrid event will welcome over 500 guests live in Sydney, while the online audience will enjoy a high calibre and equally powerful immersive experience. “Regardless of how and where you enjoy Illuminate from – we have curated the program to give every person the same quality experience,” said Terri Stewart – Senior Project Lead, FCM Meetings & Events.
To create the Flight Centre Travel Group’s peak corporate travel and thought leadership event, a small army of FCM M&E specialists has been fine-tuning every element of the event since February. Drawing inspiration from a world ready for transformation – they’ve designed the creative identity, interactive online platform and App, the agenda, managed the logistics, secured inspiring speakers and created all live and online content.
“Our team has carefully honed every detail – from the colour palette of the event to the speakers and the event’s sustainability credentials,” said Terri Stewart. “We have essentially devoted two teams to Illuminate. One working exclusively on the logistics of the live event and one managing the online event. However both teams have shared the one goal - to deliver an innovative and interactive experience that melds seamlessly.”
While the team is keeping the Illuminate highlights under wraps, we can reveal that a massive 26-metre wide screen will morph into a theatrical background for the content and visuals. The dramatic setting will host ten powerful speakers, an industry panel session and two Q&A sessions with some of the most influential experts in their field.
