France is open to Canadian travellers
The French government is one of the first countries to open up borders with very few restrictions for vaccinated Canadian travellers. With the recent update of a traffic light system, Canadian citizens can now travel to France without needing to quarantine.
So, are you ready for a trip to the City of Light? Maybe a glass of champagne with your French colleagues or clients? Or perhaps you're just ready to trade virtual calls for face-to-face interactions.
To get you going, we've put together a comprehensive outline of everything you need to know to prepare for what might be your first international trip in a while.

Airline and flight information
Looking for direct flights to Paris? Air Canada and Air France both fly direct several times a day and we have listed the information you need to know. If you are looking for other airlines that offer flights with a stopover, we can assist with those too.
Arrival testing steps and other info
Regardless of whether you are fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all, you do not need to get a test on arrival, nor do you need to quarantine.
You do, however, need to get a PCR test completed 72-hours prior to your return to Canada. Here is a useful resource for finding a COVID testing facility.
Accor hotel fast track
We've partnered with the French hotel group, Accor, to provide our travelers with an exclusive fast track offer that accelerates your status faster, helping you score even more benefits.
Returning to Canada
There is nothing specific you need to do when leaving France other than to make sure you have completed a test and received a negative result.
Once back in Canada, it is recommended to take a PCR test. Please remember that some provinces still require a mandatory quarantine upon your return from overseas. Information on what is required for each province can be found on our Travel News Hub.
