Indians travelling abroad!

  • Research entry/exit requirements, visas, laws, customs, medical care, road safety, etc. in the countries you are visiting. Note contact details for the nearest Indian embassy/consulate in case of emergency while traveling
  • Assess the risks of traveling abroad. Read Travel Alerts for your destination and check local embassy or consulate  website for the latest security messages
  • Assess the health risks of traveling abroad by staying up to date on current events and by checking in on the WHO’s  International Travel
  • Before going abroad, notify your banks and credit cards of your travel and check exchange rates
  • Follow safety precautions all the times. With different rules in place for different countries, there is a high possibility of getting quarantined once you make your way back to India

Indians coming back to India!

  • All incoming travelers arriving from or having visited China, Italy, Iran, Republic of Korea, France, Spain and Germany after 15th February, 2020 shall be quarantined for a minimum period of 14 days. This will come into effect from 1200 GMT on 13th March 2020 at the port of departure
  • Incoming travelers, including Indian nationals, are advised to avoid non-essential travel and are informed that they can be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days on their arrival in India
  • All incoming international passengers returning to India should self- monitor their health and follow required do’s and don'ts as detailed by the Government
  • All passengers entering India are required to furnish duly filled self-declaration form in duplicate (including personal details) to Health & Immigration Officials and undergo Universal Health Screening at the designated  health counters at all Points of Entry
  • All types of passenger movements through all Immigration Land Check posts located at borders with Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar will be suspended with effect from March 15 and at Pakistan border from March 16, with the exception of a few limited posts
