FCM adds Ghana to its global network
FCM Travel Solutions has extended its partner network in Africa with a new office in Accra, the capital city of Ghana after signing an agreement with Stellar Travel Ltd, a leading corporate and retail travel agency in West Africa.
Stellar Travel has been a major player in the corporate and retail travel market since 1991. While Stellar Travel offers a wide range of travel services, the company is mainly focused on the corporate travel market. The business is part of the Stellar Group, which is a major supplier of support services to the travel, logistics, hospitality, retail, ship broking and mining sectors in West Africa.
The award-winning agency offers end-to-end business travel and expense management services including air travel, hotel accommodation and ground transport, policy development, account management, reporting, visas and vehicle leasing. The company has over 110 staff and services a broad portfolio of blue chip clients that work across the oil, gas and mining industries, shipping, finance, government and private sector.
General manager of FCm's Middle East and Africa network Ciaran Kelly said: "Our new colleagues in Ghana bring specialist business travel skills to FCm's regional network in Africa. Their knowledge of the local travel market and customs, visas and entry requirements as well as their supplier relationships is critical to many of our clients that need to travel to Ghana for commercial purposes.
"Ghana is a key market for companies in the resources industry and a growing business travel hub," he added. "FCm can now offer our clients on-the-ground services from travel industry professionals we can rely on and trust for exceptional local service."
Managing director of Stellar Travel, Rupert Pate, said their business was pleased to be joining FCm's global network and their teams would be looking to closely align themselves with FCm's global business for travel and account management.
"Our alliance with FCm will strengthen our existing services for clients with a global network of technology, travel product and support services," Rupert Pate said. "We're delighted to be working with FCm and looking to grow our business on the back of FCm's regional and global presence in the corporate travel market."
