FCM UK Poised to Scoop Top Business Travel Award
FCM Travel Solutions is on track to scoop Best Travel Management Company (over £200m annual UK sales) in the 2014 Business Travel Awards after reaching the highly competitive shortlist for the second year running.
FCM went on to win the much coveted title in 2013 so hopes are high that the company will enjoy similar success in 2014.
Now in its 19th year, the Business Travel Awards, run in conjunction with Buying Business Travel Magazine, recognise and celebrate the achievements of the travel industry's leading businesses, teams and individuals who have performed outstandingly in their chosen field over the last 12 months.
Each year categories are carefully chosen to reflect the range of areas and skills that lie at the heart of a successful travel firm or department. The independent panel of judges, made up primarily of business travel buyers, devote a considerable amount of their valuable time, to review and mark each entry in order to identify those worthy of winning one of these highly valued awards.
The results of the judges' deliberations will be announced at the Business Travel Awards ceremony and gala dinner at London's Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott hotel, on 20 January 2014.
FCM's entry this year highlighted the travel management company's new products and services such as FCM Clientbank, a proprietary web-based global reporting solution which was previously only available to multi-national corporates, but has now been introduced at national level for UK clients; FCM Mobile an integrated mobile phone solution giving travellers access to itineraries, flight status notifications and online check-in; and Global Sales Academy, a new customer service measurement initiative, designed to ensure the right processes are in place so that FCM consultants deliver consistently excellent customer service.
"This is fantastic news! We are delighted to have made the shortlist again for these highly prestigious awards," said Jo Greenfield, brand leader FCM Travel Solutions UK. "It's a tremendous achievement for FCM as the written entry submission was an extremely rigorous process and even though we won last year, there was no guarantee that we would reach the shortlist again this year."
Mike Toynbee, chairman of the judges, and managing editor of Buying Business Travel said: "We were very impressed with the detail and creativity that went into the composition of all the entries. This has been by far the most difficult year to date to judge as the standard across the board was quite exceptional."
