In 2017, Etihad Airways made changes to its chauffeur service. Here’s the lowdown, answering key questions about the airline’s premium chauffeur service.
Does Etihad Airways provide a chauffeur service?
Yes, the airline offers a complimentary service between Abu Dhabi airport and a travellers’ home or hotel in the UAE. Guests can use the service when Abu Dhabi is the origin, stopover or final destination of their journey.
What is the Etihad chauffeur service eligibility, does Etihad business travel include a chauffeur?
The service is available to passengers travelling on Etihad Airways operated flights in The Residence, First or Business Class, although there are some exceptions in Business. Check Etihad’s fare table for more information.
Those not eligible for the service include:

Guests travelling on Etihad-operated flights marketed by other airlines.

Unaccompanied minors (UM) or children between 2 and 12 years old.
For those not eligible for free services, Etihad offers a paid chauffeur service option that can be booked through their website.
How much does the Etihad chauffeur service cost?
Etihad’s chauffeur service is free for passengers travelling in The Residence, First class or applicable Business class flights. Etihad offers a paid chauffeur service option for all passengers.
How do I go about booking the Etihad chauffeur service?
Complimentary chauffeur services must be booked at least 12 hours before the flight to/from Abu Dhabi. Travellers will need to provide their contact number, address, city code and pick-up time on arrival/departure.
If you upgrade at the airport you will not be able to receive this service, as your transfer would not have been pre-booked 12 hours in advance.
How does the Etihad chauffeur service work?

Etihad guests flying out of Abu Dhabi will receive a call or SMS to inform them of the pick-up time from their home or hotel.

Travellers arriving in Abu Dhabi are instructed to collect their bags and head to baggage belt 10, where their driver will be waiting at the Etihad Chauffeur reception.

For stopovers of 10-24 hours, the service is part of Etihad’s Transit connect service.
Etihad chauffeur service policies
There are some restrictions to the chauffeur service. Pick-up times are non-negotiable, and drivers will wait a maximum of 25 minutes. The service cannot be used as a transfer between airport terminals. Additional cars cannot be booked.
