Great Place To Work reveals 2020 Best Workplaces for Women in GCC

FCM Travel Solutions has been officially recognized as one of the GCC’s Best Workplaces for Women in 2020, by leading global workplace culture authority Great Place to Work® Middle East. Taking place for the first time, Great Place to Work® recognized the top 40 organizations in the region.

FCM has a global presence across 100 countries and the goal across all markets is simple: to create a workplace no matter where it is, at home or in an office environment that is inclusive and fun for everyone regardless of their gender. Over the last several years FCM in the GCC region has been focused on improving upon its existing workplace culture and its policies for its female workforce.

“Following on from our success as being accredited as a Great Place to Work in the Middle East and Best Workplace for Millennials this year, to receive this recognition for Women in the FCM Workplace and be ranked No.26 in the top 40 companies is the icing on the cake. During my 18-year career at FCM I have had several women as Leaders that have truly inspired me over this period. For our parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group, it’s been important to recognize women in our business, to ensure they have equal rights and opportunities as everyone else in the business.

In the region we have implemented several successful initiatives to recognize and appreciate their importance, challenges, contribution and the value women bring to our success. This week a law on equal pay in the region has been introduced, this is something that we’ve always offered, extended maternity leave for women and men in our workplace is the norm. Our WomenWise programe is specifically for our female employees, a forum to encourage learning, development and encourage feedback on their needs in the workplace. There are phenomenal women in our business that are an inspiration to many others, helping to break down barriers and misconceptions with their strong values and success stories.
