The origins of the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) trace back to 1973, starting with a double-decker bus tour through Europe and North Africa. By 1980, this evolved into a successful retail travel operation. Business travel became a natural progression, as clients trusted expert teams to manage both their personal holidays, and their complex corporate itineraries.

In 2004, FCM Travel launched to serve the specific needs of corporate travel programmes. This leisure heritage created a deep understanding of travellers as individuals, not merely transactions. Today, the customer remains central to every decision, service design, and platform feature.
