This year marks a special occasion for FCM’s parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group, 40 years since the very first store opened in Australia. In 1982, the first Flight Centre store opened the doors to customers in Sydney.

FCTG’s 40th birthday milestone is an acknowledgement of its roots. And the birth of the iconic red and white leisure travel brand that became the catalyst for the company’s global success and brand diversification.

After being in business for four decades, FCTG consists of more than 30 corporate, retail and leisure travel brands and employs thousands of people globally.

FCM, as the group’s flagship global corporate travel business, for large market clients, was born in 2004. FCM’s launch followed the consolidation of various businesses within FCTG’s successful corporate travel division, which originally started way back in 1993.

Today, FCM is represented in over 90 countries and is recognised as one of the top five travel management companies in the world.

But rather than us tell you about our journey so far, watch this fun, three-minute video ‘40 Years of Taking Off’, which captures all the milestones.
