Having a hand in creating technology solutions that meet the unique needs of each new customer, makes work extremely satisfying for Rebecca Galvin. Rebecca, who has been with the Flight Centre Travel Group for 20 years, has spent that past three and a half years as part of the national implementation team for academic and corporate customers.

Charged with providing vital tech input when onboarding new customers, Rebecca works with key stakeholders and bookers to understand their requirements and to help design company travel guidelines and Online Booking Tool policies to match their business goals. Drawing on her extensive product and tech knowledge, Rebecca also advises organisations on the best tools for capturing travel data and for creating meaningful reports to help monitor their travel program.

Meeting clients face-to-face when conducting workshops to help understand a customer's business is one of Rebecca’s favourite tasks. Not only does it mean travelling all over the country, but it’s an important responsibility as Rebecca and her team deliver a customer’s first impression of FCM as their travel management company.

For Rebecca the role is an opportunity to showcase her knowledge, experience and project management skills, while also setting the customer up for success by implementing a solid foundation on which to manage their travel program. After program implementation, testing and user acceptance testing, Rebecca continues to deliver value to customers over time as their needs grow and change requiring further program optimisation.

While working with multi-national companies can mean being on hand for calls before and after work and on weekends, Rebecca has the flexibility to take time to ensure she maintains a work/life balance. Rebecca relies on regular yoga classes help maintain a healthy lifestyle, while her passion for travel means that she also likes to ensure that she always has some future travel plans booked in her diary!
