FCM Welcomes End of Hotel Quarantine for Incoming Travellers

26 SEPTEMBER, 2022

Global corporate travel experts, FCM welcomes the removal of hotel quarantine restrictions for incoming travellers to Hong Kong from 26 September.

Clearly, this is great news for Hong Kong and its business community. This hugely significant and greatly anticipated decision is a positive milestone for the Territory and brings a much-needed boost to the local economy that we’ve all been eagerly awaiting.

With these changes, our industry has been given the boost it needs and will enable clients to travel more easily and ultimately aid their business performance in the months ahead.

Commenting on the removal of hotel quarantine restrictions for incoming travellers to Hong Kong, FCM Travel Asia's Managing Director Bertrand Saillet said:

“As a highly regarded global financial centre, and one of the top five routes in APAC pre-COVID, we anticipate a corresponding spike in customer demand for flights between Hong Kong and its neighbours. We also hope to see a corresponding increase in capacity too, to meet anticipated demand and support vital connections across the region."

“While this is a key step in Hong Kong’s post-pandemic recovery, as more of us return to the skies and roadways, we encourage our fellow travellers to remain vigilant and practice responsible tourism on their journeys,” added Mr Saillet.
