Changes to the Etihad Chauffeur service

2017

Etihad’s free Chauffeur Service will continue to operate from their home in Abu Dhabi for guests travelling in Residence, First Class, Business Class and Redemption First & Business Class, subject to fare choice conditions. Guests can use the service when Abu Dhabi is the origin, stopover or final destination of their journey. Guests travelling in the Residence cabin, will continue to receive a complimentary chauffeur service in Residence destinations across the network.

From 3 July 2017, a paid airport transfer service will replace the complimentary Chauffeur Service across all other destinations. This new service will be available to guests across all cabins, and includes a wide range of vehicle choices with options tailored to suit individual requirements. Guests will also be able to earn Etihad Guest Miles on every journey.

Tickets purchased before 3 July 2017, for travel after the new service is in place, will not be affected by the change. However, if a date change or a reissuance of the ticket is required the new policy will be applied.

Mohammad Al Bulooki, Executive Vice President Commercial for Etihad Airways, said: “Etihad Airways is constantly looking at ways to improve its value proposition for guests, focusing on the service elements that are most important to them. Many customers prefer to make their own ground transportation arrangements. The decision by Etihad Airways to change its offering has been taken to provide increased choice and to ensure fares remain as low and as competitive as possible, while retaining best-in-class service for all guests, in all cabins.”
