INSIGHT

In Conversation with Sabre

Speaking with Andy Finkelstein, Senior Vice President of Global Agency Sales & Corporate Solutions at Sabre, we analyze the current state of the travel industry and COVID-19’s impact thus far.

As travel content adapts to fit the change and evolution of the situation — Sabre shares their insight on the global trends unfolding in the industry, what areas continue to be a key focus going forward, and how their organization is stepping up internally to navigate through this pandemic.

According to our State of the Market 2020 Report we are seeing the following trends in regards to the return to business travel in the Americas:

  • Businesses in the US are forecasting an 11% reduction in travel budgets for 2021 while those in Canada are predicting a 27% decrease.
  • Respondents expected to return to business travel within 3 months of borders opening.
  • AMER Industries leading the way are Health Services, Mining and Wholesale Trade.
  • Our customers top priorities in returning back to business travel are risk management, travel approvals and budget.
