The travel industry rebuild is gaining momentum.

With demand for corporate and leisure travel on the rise and in-person conferences popping up all over the country – the industry is shining bright again.

So too, were the smiles of attendees at the recent Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) Independent conference at Hilton Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

Run by the talented team at FCM Meetings and Events, the conference was the first in-person annual conference for the FCTG Independent group since March 2020.

  • Flight Centre Independent (mobile agents)
  • Travel Associates at Home (mobile agents, by invitation only)
  • Travel Associates franchise stores

Mobile travel agents, FCTG employees and travel industry suppliers travelled from around the country to attend the inspirational conference. More than 110 people gathered for two-days of networking, learning, awards and more.

FCM Meetings and Events anchored the event at the glamorous Hilton Surfers Paradise and hosted their gala dinner and awards night at SkyPoint in the Q1 building.

An EventsAir app was used onsite to provide notifications to delegates throughout the event. Guests could use the app to connect with other agents or suppliers and share photos on the app’s event social wall.

Themed ‘Home’, the event boasted a dynamic line-up of guest speakers, breakout sessions to help agents drive business growth, a supplier showcase as well as networking opportunities such as the opening night’s ‘Sail Away’ party - hosted by P&O, Princess, Cunard, Carnival and Holland America Line.
