Crowdstrike outage
The technical issue with CrowdStrike, which occurred on Friday, July 19th, 2024, affected several industries and global companies including airports, airlines, GDSs, Cvent and other travel systems. According to CrowdStrike, the underlying cause has now been fixed. However, some residual impact remains, meaning intermittent service disruptions, flight delays and long airport queues can be expected over the next 24 to 48 hours.
For those due to travel over this period, we advise that they check the status of their flight with their airline. Travellers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 to 3 hours prior to their scheduled departure times.
FCM’s travel consultants are available to help 24/7. However, please only contact if your travel is within the next 24 to 48 hours as our teams are extremely busy.
Emergencies: We are prioritising emergency calls and would advise that only travellers in an apparent emergency contact the team for assistance while the backlogs are being cleared.
Non-emergencies: Our teams are still available by email and phone, but you may experience longer waiting times.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
